2019 Three Village Swim Club Awards Dinner
On May 3, 2019 we were honored once again to be invited to the Three Village Swim Club Awards Dinner to present this years winner with the TJ Kelly Memorial Scholarship. This year we did not have as many applicants and after careful consideration we decided to award only one $3000 scholarship to Matthew Chan. Matthew will be attending SUNY Brockport in the fall where he will be majoring in nursing and minoring in music, and will be swimming on a collegiate level for their team. We also gave $150 gift card to all the graduating seniors to use for books!
This year we structured the profits from the Scholarship night differently. In addition to the college scholarship and the gift cards we also helped defray the cost of the training trip to Florida. A stipend was given to all who went. TJ loved these trips and we fully understand the cost and wanted to help the families!! We also gave a scholarship to a young girl who was unable to join the team because her mom is a single mom with medical issues and high medical bills. This scholarship is enabling her to become part of the team!!
